Education
Ms. Nix graduated *cum laude* from Rollins College earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and a minor in German. Ms. Nix graduated from Stetson University College of Law which is ranked No. 1 in Trial Advocacy and No. 3 in Legal Writing by US News and World Report.
Personal History
Sydney was born in Texas and raised in Alabama. She moved to Florida in 2014 for college and has since settled in the state with her partner and French Bulldog. While in law school, Sydney spent her time working as a contract consultant in Lisbon, Portugal. Following graduation, she began her career where she specializes in Estate Planning and Probate.
AREAS OF PRACTICE
*PROBATE, GUARDIANSHIP AND TRUST ADMINISTRATION*
Ms. Nix concentrates her practice in the areas of probate administration, guardianships over the person and property, advising clients about the legal process to transfer a decedent’s probate assets to the estate beneficiaries or heirs and counsels’ trustees with carrying out their duties in accordance with the terms of the applicable trust.
*ESTATE PLANNING*
Sydney Nix collaborates with clients to fully evaluate their finances and family dynamic to formulate the best estate plan for each client’s unique needs. She counsels clients about the importance of having a Will, Health Care Surrogate, Living Will, Power of Attorney, and Trust. She helps plan for the future, while finding creative ways to avoid probate as well as protect client assets and preserve their legacy.
